Josie got the chance to travel to the South of Spain where she performed live in Malaga in The Shakespeare twice to try out some new songs on guitar. The sound of silence in this music bar during the performance was beautiful and the lovely audience and staf amazing. She also got the privilege to perform in Artsenal twice, a stage in the port of Malaga. One time with The New Cool Collective and the other with DJ Philippe Del Bosque from Belgium and Malcolm Schofield, an amazing jazz trumpet player from Canada.
During a trip back to memory lane (Costa Blanca, where she worked on two albums for Sound of Lighthouse), she was asked for a family dinner in the middle of nowhere in a Spanish/Mexican restaurant. When the Colombian guitar player heard there was a singer/songwriter in the house he didn’t hesitated one bit and gave his guitar to Josie.
When she came back in Malaga area she was asked to sing with the amazing keyboard player and singer Funky-T from Germany (The Weather Girls, LaToy Jackson) and his band CeroTres in the venue Pogs in Fuengirola. There have been some ideas of working together regularly, so stay tuned for more news!
